What a year!

2023 has been such a fun year for me. Two movies that I worked on were released this year - The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Nimona. I think that both of them turned out great and I've had such a good time watching them and seeing other people's reactions.

In additon, I finished working on Despicable Me 4 after more than a year on that project. It's due to be released in July 2024. I know it's going to be good.

After working on a 3rd, as yet unnamed movie over the summer, I'm taking a short break to look for my next project. I'm excited to work on something new!

A Thing About Old Things...

One of the entertaining things about updating a portfolio is finding things you'd forgotten about. I came across this old thing this morning. I think it's from 2009.

The End of an Era...

It's happened. Blue Sky Studios, my professional home for the past 11 years, will be closing its aperture. Working there has been utterly transformational for me as an artist, as a professional and as a member of a team. I have been consistently stunned by the talent and ingenuity of the Blue Sky team. They have inspired me and pushed me to do the highest quality work that I can. I've made many great friendships at Blue Sky that I know will continue beyond this sad day.

I'm now open to job offers from anyone who's looking to hire a skilled story artist. As great a gig as Blue Sky was, I'm actually feeling very excited about the future and I'm looking forward to the next chapter! There is much yet to do!
